About The Mill

A Chattanooga Event Venue

Few southern cities are as rich in history as Chattanooga, Tennessee. From its bold beginnings as a keystone in the southern railroad system to its current transformation into the ideal family vacation destination, Chattanooga is alive and vibrant with stories and histories as deep and vast as the Tennessee River that meanders nearby.  And The Mill is the perfect Chattanooga event space!

A lynchpin of the city’s history is an area now known as Cypress Corners, the newly renovated artistic community along Main Street. That is where you will find The Mill, an event hall with old city charm but present day convenience and pizzazz. There is not a more perfect place to become husband and wife other than The Mill, a facility that has stood the test of time for over 100 years. With a convenient downtown location, The Mill is equally as perfect for corporate luncheons, business functions, and other private events and holiday functions.

The Mill is located in a building built in the early 1900s which housed Allied Drug Company, makers of Cobalt Pediatric medicine for children. Years later, the building became home to Nations Hosiery Mill, inspiration for the event hall’s name, The Mill.

There were two main objectives while developing The Mill – create a splendid venue to accommodate a variety of events while maintaining the character of the original structure. Determined to preserve the old world feel of the building yet make it contemporary enough to blend in beautifully with the feel and vibe of the artsy Cypress Corners community, The Mill has accomplished just that. The result is a beautifully renovated event hall with an ambiance and character sure to impress guests of any reception, party or event hosted here.

The rustic yet up-to-date facility boasts of wood rafters in the ceilings, restored and exposed brick walls, and polished concrete floors which are all in keeping with the feel of the authentic mill building. Contemporary twists on the renovation include track lighting, modern furniture, flat screen televisions, and ample parking. The Sculpture Fields of Montague Park are already in the works by world-renowned sculptor John Henry, the visionary behind the original concept of Cypress Corners, and we are looking forward to hosting wedding ceremonies there in the future!

Seating for 500, in-house food, beverage, and alcohol services and equipment, state-of-the-art audio equipment, house DJ, portable stage, tables, Chiavari chairs, linens, centerpieces, spacious parking, combined with the knowledgeable staff that has run over 5,500 successful events in the city of Chattanooga to date are just some of the things that make The Mill the obvious choice when planning an event to make memories to last a lifetime.

The Mill, overlooking the Sculpture Fields at Montague Park and located in the heart of the new Southside art district, is perfect for events such as:

  • Weddings Ceremonies, Receptions, Rehearsal Dinners, Commitment Ceremonies and Receptions
  • Holiday Parties
  • Anniversary Celebrations
  • Class Reunions
  • Birthday Parties
  • Corporate Luncheons, Business Meetings, Award Ceremonies, Corporate Holiday Affairs
  • Club Events, Speaker Programs, or Weekly/Monthly Meetings
  • Non-Profit Events/Fundraisers

They say necessity is the mother of invention and this holds true for The Mill. The Mill is Chattanooga’s venue of choice. It is an upscale, yet flexible event space for weddings and receptions, reunions, holiday parties, and all types of corporate functions, just to name a few.
